About these terms

These terms apply when you use Touchline Atlas (thetouchlineatlas.com), which is operated by The Touchline Atlas (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. They don’t take away any rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.

The service

Touchline Atlas publishes probabilities for football matches, explanations of those numbers and a public record of how they performed. It is free and needs no account. We may add, change or remove features, leagues or pages, and we may pause the site for maintenance.

Not betting advice

Our forecasts are estimates of how likely each result is, published for information and entertainment. They are not advice to bet, not a guarantee and not a recommendation of any bookmaker. A likely result often does not happen: a 70% favourite still fails to win about three times in ten. You are responsible for your own decisions. You must be 18 or over, or the legal age where you live, to bet. If gambling is causing you problems, see our responsible gambling page for free help.

Accuracy, availability and corrections

Data arrives in batches and can contain mistakes, for example a wrong kickoff time or a late change to a fixture. We check results against two independent sources before grading, correct errors in the next batch and log any change to a graded result on the methodology page. A locked forecast is never edited; if a match is postponed, its forecast is voided. We do not promise that the site will always be available or error-free.

Using our content

• Data: the forecast ledger and the season forecast tables are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, adapt and republish them, including commercially, if you credit Touchline Atlas and link to the source page.
• Text and design: articles, page text, graphics and the site design belong to The Touchline Atlas. You may quote short extracts with a link; please ask before republishing whole articles.
• Automated access: please use the CSV and JSON downloads on the ledger page rather than scraping pages, and keep request rates low so the site stays fast for everyone.

Club names and images

Club and competition names are trademarks of their owners. We use them only to identify teams and competitions; their use does not mean any club, league or competition endorses or is affiliated with Touchline Atlas. They are not covered by the CC BY licence above. We do not use club crests or competition logos: each club appears with a plain shield badge drawn for this site. Photos are used under their stated licence and credited; images made with AI are labelled as AI-generated.

If you own a name or image used on this site and want it removed, use the removal request form. We handle these requests first.

AI-assisted content

AI tools help us collect team news and draft analysis and articles. Published probabilities come from our statistical model, and written analysis is checked by an editor before it goes live. Our editorial policy explains who does what.

Links to other websites

We link to official league and club websites and to other sources so you can check our facts. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites. We do not link to bookmakers.

Our liability

The site is provided free and as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the forecasts or other content, including betting losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
